the very first book i have ever FINISHED reading (on my entire LIFE) was
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. it was a struggle. i have to convince myself to read, understand, and FINISH at least one book to break my habit of reading the first parts and eventually giving up when the story goes slow and kind of boring.. *ugh*
then Nicky told me to read
Catcher in the Rye. i've known people who talk and do crazy stuff but i didn't know someone would actually write and sell it.
J.D Salinger is one hell of a mad writer.. reeeaaalllyyy maaaddd.

Gossip Girl saved me from boredom when i can't think of anything else to do aside from watching tv, sleeping, getting up to eat, take a bath, watch tv again, sleep, eat and the cycle goes on and on during my stay at tito's house..

The Little Prince over and over from the start whenever i remember or see it on the shelf.. and for the third time, i've been too lazy again to continue reading.. i just don't feel like finishing it.. so i looked for another book (poor me.. nicky sold her books and one of what i wanted to read was tuesdays with morrie by mitch albom.. and it's been sold. talking about regret... nasa huli nga naman talaga ang pagsisisi.. tsk.. tsk.. tsk..)

ABNKKBSNPLAKO? - i remember my tito writing this one on a sheet of paper and then he told me to read it. i did read it and everyone around me laughed. as a little girl, i didn't know why until now that i am smart enough to understand things. haha.. stupid me!! anyway, this one's my favorite.. it kept me company up to the end.. i love how the ending is connected with the beginning..

MACARTHUR - love-ley.. this one's a masterpiece.. nanghina ako nun natapos ko 'to. muntik na kong maiyak. weakness ko talaga mga matatanda. i think Bob Ong was inspired by a snatcher whom he'd seen snatching a necklace in Manila which led to a police chase.. and then he passed by 4 men who are drunk and broke but still laughing and having a good time.. add an old man, and a pissed nursing student and viola!!
"dalawang dekada ka lang magaaral, kung di mo pagtitiyagaan, limang dekada ng kahirapan ang kapalit. sobrang lugi." i like this part. it's pure reality. i wish everyone would read this and absorb its message. gahd there'd be no lazy students...
