Watch Honey and Clover Live Action TV Series!

Now this wasn't really on my to-do list, but I just saw the first episode of the Honey and Clover live action TV series featuring Ikuta Toma and the girl who played Ako in 1 Litre of Tears.

I got giddy all over!!!

The guy who played Nobu in Nana is Morita-san!!! How fitting! He's funny without even trying!

Once again I was transported to the familiar college setting of dorm living, food issues, human professors, crazy friends, and identy crisis. Also, the first episode is beautiful. I was treated to an eye-candy of cherry blossoms, as if the fresh scent of spring wafted right out of the screen.  Who wouldn't fall in love with the beautiful Hagu in such an idyllic moment?

What I like most is the way they captured the feel of the anime in this first episode, so I hope this keeps up all the way to the final. I've read a lot of bad reviews about the movie and the first part literally bore my brains out, but I am glad I attempted to watch the live action series. If it weren't for Ikuta Toma, I wouldn't have. And if it weren't for Morita, I won't bother with episode 2.
